LEGAL NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Township Board will conduct a Public Hearing at the Township Hall March 8, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. to review the proposed 2008/09 fiscal year budget. *The property tax millage rate proposed to be levied to support the proposed budget will be a subject of this hearing. The Township proposes to levy one (1) allocated mill for operations, and one (1) allocated mill for road construction. Copies of the proposed budget will be available at the meeting. The Public has the right to present oral and written comments.
Included in the Hearing will be consideration of Sewer and Water rate adjustments.
The Annual Meeting will be held at the Township Hall March 29, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. The financial statement of the Township will be presented and discussed, along with the proposed 2008/09 budget, and any other business properly brought before the meeting.
The Township Board will conduct a special meeting following the annual meeting to hear final comments to, and adopt the 2008/09 budget, general and special appropriation acts, along with sewer and water rate adjustments.
This notice is posted in compliance with PA 267 of 1976 as amended (Open Meetings Act), MCLA 41.72a (2) (3) and the Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA).
The Little Traverse Township Board will provide necessary reasonable auxiliary aids and services, such as signers for the hearing impaired and audio tapes of printed materials being considered at the meeting, to individuals with disabilities at the meeting upon seven days notice to the Little Traverse Township Board.
