I. Call to order at 7:05 p.m. II. Public present: - Guest Danna Widmar, HARBOR, Inc. III. Minutes of 8/28/06 approved as written Danna Widmar (HARBOR Inc), in preparation for working on a Joint Recreation and Open Space Plan (joint planning with Readmond, CV, Pleasantview, Little Traverse and City of Harbor Springs), led us through mapping various land uses and features for Friendship Township. We designated for her to the best of our knowledge: farms or farm land, commercial forests, sensitive areas (bog), watersheds, areas already developed, conserved land and those who had expressed interest in conserving, viewsheds. Much of this was a review of mapping available in the Master Plan. Simon reported on a bit of the information gleaned from the workshop “Filling the Gaps: Environmental Protection Options for Local Governments.” (attended by Simon, Gelb, Troup, and Donahey-partial) One of the items we con/should implement immediately was: Importance of recording with registrar of deeds if a lot split yields an unbuildable lot. Simon forwarded this info to Doug Sundmacher (in charge of splits), and Janell Van Divner, clerk of Twp. Donahey will follow up with Sundmacher to make sure he has all information and is clear. County Stormwater Ordinance: everyone has a copy of this now unenforceable ordinance. Trufant will see if Nancy Salar (from County) would come and help us understand it. This way we could decided what we might want to do. Would it be feasible to join with Readmond, CV, and others for a joint twp ordinance and have it administered by the county or some other knowledgeable person? Public Comments - none present Adjourn at 9:05 p.m. The next meeting is October 23 at 7:00 (Trufant Chair) Cynthia Donahey, Secretary
