LITTLE TRAVERSE TOWNSHIPEMMET COUNTYSPECIAL MEETING MINUTES MARCH 31, 2007

Special Meeting convened at 1:20 p.m. by Supervisor Dohm.

Roll Call: All Board Members present, Allerding, Arman, Dohm, Garver, O’Neill. Also present Jane Taylor.

Purpose of the Special Meeting is to adopt the 2007/08 Appropriation Budget and to conduct any other business brought before the Board.

Correspondence: Minutes of Emmet County DPW of Feb. 22, 2007: Minutes of Emmet County Road Commission of Mar. 9 and 23, 2007: 2007 Taxable Value & Assessed Value Reports (form L-4022).

Public Comment: None.

Township General & Enterprise Funds Appropriations Act and Budget: The Little Traverse Township General and Enterprise Funds Appropriations Act, including the 2007/08 Budget was presented to the board. With no further discussion of the afore mentioned, motion by O’Neill supported by Garver and carried in a roll call vote as follows: Dohm aye, O’Neill aye, Garver aye, Allerding aye, Arman aye, the Appropriations Act including the budget was passed.

Sewer System Ordinance: Sewer Rate and Connection Ordinance Amendment was presented to the board. Rates and charges for sewage disposal service and sewer debt in the Township of Little Traverse was discussed. Upon discussion, the quarterly user O&M charge per residential equivalent payable by each premise shall be $72.00. The quarterly user debt retirement charge per residential equivalent shall be $38.00. Motion by Arman supported by Allerding and carried in a roll call vote as follows: Dohm aye, O’Neill aye, Garver aye, Allerding aye, Arman aye, Ordinance Amendment #03-2007-02 was passed.

Boat Launch Repair: Board members discussed the Conway Boat Ramp Repair. Repair options were given to the board by Harbor Springs Excavating. Board Members authorized Supervisor to go forward with the most effective option of the repair.

Street Light: Motion by O’Neill supported by Garver and carried Board authorized an agreement with Emmet County Road Commission to install a red and yellow blinking light at the intersection of Pleasantview and Hathaway Roads.
