Regular Meeting June 25, 2008
Meeting called to order by B. Wiechmann at 7:00 p.m.

John Conroy informed Board the road in Beaux Rivage is in need of repair. B. Wiechmann explained to Mr. and Mrs. Conroy he understand their point but right now the Township does not have the money to repair the road and that it is on the list to be repaired and will eventually get repaired. A discussion was held on the roads.
Correspondence/Appointments: Susan Clarke of the Harbor Springs District Library presented to the Board plans to build a district library in Harbor Springs.
A discussion was held regarding the Petoskey Public Library.

Committee Reports:
Planning Commission: B. Wiechmann informed Board that there will be an open meeting in July and R. Rule the chairman would like the Twp. Board members to come to the meeting.
Zoning Administrator: B. Wiechmann informed Board nine permits were handed out for new buildings and turned in $450.00.
Treasurer Report: Treasurer’s report was received and M. Barkley informed Board she sent out the tax disbursements from Chestnut Valley.

D.Bosma motioned to approve budget by roll call vote for the fiscal year of July, 2008 – June 2009 L. Bosma seconded, Passed Roll Call Vote: M. Barkley Yes, L. Bosma Yes, B. Wiechmann Yes, D. Bosma Yes, B. Wurst Yes
D. Bosma informed Board the J. Tippett told her the gravesites have settled and he is having a hard time mowing. He asked if he could put in Black dirt to level everything out. He turned in an estimate of $350.00 for fill, labor and seed. M. Barkley motioned to accept the estimate and L. Bosma seconded, Passed
A discussion was held on road contracts and bids for Valley Road and Hidden Hamlet. L. Bosma motioned to accept bids by roll call vote from Payne and Dolan. B. Wurst seconded, Passed Roll Call Vote: L. Bosma Yes, M. Barkley Yes, B. Wiechmann Yes, B. Wurst Yes, D. Bosma Yes
D. Bosma informed Board the fire department would fax a letter of approval July 10, 2008 for the fireworks at Boyne Highlands for the wedding of July 12, 2008.
Board set meeting dates for 2008 and 2009. Meetings will be held at 7:00 p.m. The fourth Monday of each month with the exception of December that meeting will be the 3rd Monday of the month L. Bosma motioned to approve new Twp. Board meeting dates, M. Barkley seconded, Passed. Meeting dates are Mondays:
