Cross Village Township Board Meeting Minutes 2-3-09
Present: Treasurer Marie Krupa, Supervisor Gene Reck, Trustee Steve Keller, Trustee Howard Wood, Clerk Robert Keller Call to Order: The regular meeting of the Cross Village board was called to order by Reck at 7:00 p.m. Pledge of Allegiance: The pledge of Allegiance was said by all present. Motion: made by Wood and supported by Steve Keller to approve the agenda. Motion carried.
Motion: to approve Treasurer’s report made by Reck and supported by Wood. Motion carried.
Total Bills paid: November, 2008: $25,993.66 Announcements/Correspondence: Reck said the proposal to change the name of Wycamp Lake was not approved. Public Comments: 1. A member of the public asked about the transfer of money to the Road Fund. Board member Marie Krupa explained how the process works.
Committee Reports: The issue of free library cards for township residents was discussed, but nothing was yet resolved. Old Business: A: Blissfest Recreation Plan Report: It was discussed briefly. Reck said he believed they needed oversight and curfew.
B: Boat Ramp Proposal: Reck said he talked with CORA about it and things were progressing.
C: Snow Plowing Bidding Report: Reck said he examined some bids. Untimately, Stan Krupa won the bidding.
D: Proposal from Tuskenow Association: Reck said he talked with them, and there are a few bugs yet to be worked out. New Business: A: Calender: It was brought up that the dates of meetings need to be done by resolutions. A roll call vote was called by Robert Keller to approve the meeting dates. All were in favor, and the dates were approved. They will be posted at the Community Center and at the Post Office. B: Budget Workshop: It was decided that the workshop will be held on Feb 26th at 1 pm. C: Road Fund: The condition of the township's roads was discussed, and what should be done. Marie Krupa said the township has $44,500 to work with this year. The board discussed which roads should be fixed, and decided on the following: Oak Dive (0.07 mi); Wadsworth (0.39 mi); Shomin (0.08 mi); Forest (0.08 mi) amd Sturgeon Bay Drive (1.49 mi).
Motion: Made by Wood to fix the roads that were decided on. Supported by Reck. In favor: All. Motion carried. D: Assessor Report: Tim Grimm discussed home and land sales.
