Board Meeting
Minutes
7-8-08
Present: Howard Wood, Maria Krupa, Gene Reck, Steve Keller, Catherine Schlappi

Call to order: The regular meeting of the Cross Village board was called to order by Supervisor Wood at 7:02 p.m.

Pledge of Allegiance: The Pledge of Allegiance was said by all present.

Motion: made by Supervisor Wood supported by Clerk Reck to approve the agenda. Motion carried.

Motion: to approve the June 3, 2008 minutes made by Supervisor Wood and supported by Trustee Keller.  Motion carried.

Motion: to approve Treasurer’s report made by Clerk Reck and supported by Supervisor Wood.  Motion carried.

Total bills paid June 2008-$ 45,494.35

Announcements/Correspondence: None

 Public comments: A comment was made about the unclosed gate at the park and the observation of infractions of the posted township park rules.

Committee Reports: George Smolak reported on possible wording for a sign at the park.

Old Business:
a. Capitalization Policy :  Motion: to approve the Resolution 2008-0012 made by Clerk Reck and supported by Trustee Schlappi. A roll call vote was taken and the resolution passed unanimously.
 b. Acoustics:  Solutions to the room acoustics problem were discussed.  An estimate is to be obtained to use tiles on the wall.
c. DNR Grant Monies: A letter has been sent to the DNR specifically requesting $7279.84 to complete the grant.
New Business:
a.Planning and Zoning: No representative present.
b. Off Road Vehicles: The status of the county action was reported.

Second Public comments:  A question was asked how the closing of the park will be handled. A question was asked about the content of the June 5, 2008 letter from DNR
Motion to adjourn at 7:43 pm the meeting made by Clerk Reck and supported by Supervisor Wood.  Motion carried.
