Notice is hereby given that the Township Zoning Board will hold a Public Hearing, Monday, December 8, 2008 at 7:30 P.M. at the Township Hall, 8288 S. Pleasantview Road, Harbor Springs, Michigan 49740, to consider the following:

Upon its own motion by the Township Zoning Board to amend the Township Zoning Ordinance to replace Section 1308. SIGNS AND BILLBOARDS:  with a completely revised section to include the following:

1.         Intent

2.         Definitions

3.         Sample Graphic

4.         Signs Authorized Requiring a Permit

5.         Non-Conforming Signs

6.         Signs Prohibited

7.         Signs Not Requiring a Zoning Permit

8.         Placement of Signs and Setbacks

9.         Sign Lighting

10.       Measuring – Area and Height of Sign

11.       Off-Premises Directory Sign – Private

12.       Sign Exceptions

A copy of the proposed amendment is available for public inspection at the Township Hall during normal business hours. 

Notice is also given that the regular Zoning Board meeting scheduled for December 1, 2008 has been moved to December 8, 2008 at 7:30 P.M
