PLEASANTVIEW TOWNSHIP MINUTES Regular Meeting November 28, 2006
Meeting called to order by B. Wiechmann at 7:00 p.m.

Correspondence/Appointments: D. Bosma presented to the Board a seminar by MTA-Beyond the Basics for D. Bosma, M. Barkley and B. Wiechmann to attend it was decided that they would not be able to attend.
Consent Agenda: Minutes: M. Barkley moved to approve the minutes, seconded, Passed Bills: D. Bosma presented Board with bills from Young, Graham & Elsenheimer, P.C. for $710.20, UTMI for $117.46, and Great Lakes Energy for $75.36. M. Barkley motioned to pay the bills, seconded, Passed

Planning Commission: - Richard: None
Zoning Administrator: J. Sommerville turned in $50.00 for permits and reported to the Board of one new home going in. J. Sommerville presented Board with his recommendations of the proposed changes of the zoning fee schedule. A discussion was held and L. Bosma moved to amend Resolution 98-2, Pleasantview Township Fee Schedule to amend permit fee prices and to remove recreation land, M. Barkley seconded, Passed by roll call vote, B. Wurst No, B. Wiechmann Yes, L. Bosma Yes, and D. Bosma Yes M. Barkley Yes, Effective 1-1-07.
Zoning Board of Appeals: J. Sommerville reported to the Board J. Deschermeirer and R. Rule attended the meeting and the Zoning Variance was approved.
Treasurer Report: Received
Assessor-Tim Grimm: T. Grimm reported to the Board the Board of Review will meet Tuesday, December 12, 2006 at 12:00 p.m. Also reported that Boyne Highland’s tennis court structure classification has to be changed. There will be possibly a couple of Homestead denials. Emmet County Treasurer has sent out letters to people that it appears that people may not be eligible for their homestead exemption. The state of Michigan has hired an independent company to review homestead exemptions and the state required him to send a copy of his database showing which parcel has homestead and which does not and where the bills are sent to. Photographs will not be done until next year.
