REGULAR MEETING MINUTES, NOVEMBER 12, 2005
Regular Meeting was called to order by Supervisor Dohm at 1:00 p.m.
Roll Call: Board members present, Allerding, Arman, Dohm, Garver, O’Neill. Also present Jane Taylor.
Distribution of Correspondence: Minutes of Emmet County DPW of Oct., 12, 2005: Minutes of HSASDA of Oct., 13, 2005: Miniutes of HPAAA of July 21, 2005: Minutes of Emmet County Road Commission of October 10 and 21, 2005: 2005/Local/State Transportation Workshop information booklet: Wellhead protection letter from Just Tabor to DEQ: Letter from West Traverse Township regarding their Supervisor: HSASDA proposed 2006 sewer rates: Emmet County DPW 3rd Qtr. Recycle Report: Financial Reports. Supervisor reviewed and discussed the correspondence with board members.
Approve Minutes: Motion by O’Neill supported by Garver and carried, Regular Meeting Minutes of October 8, 2005 was approved as presented by the Clerk.
Public Comment: None.
Blight Complaint #18: Board heard update on the blight complaint, no other action taken at this time.
Lot Split by Dr. Ron Snyder: Boar discussed the revised lot split by Dr Snyder, located in Bluffwood. Upon discussion motion by Allerding supported by O’Neill and carried board approved the revised lot split as submitted.
Emmet County Road Commission Road Allocation: Board discussed the 2006 local road allocation policy. Upon discussion motion by Garver supported by Allerding and carried with all in favor, Resolution was passed to forfeit the allocation for 1 year.
Appraisal from Michigan Appraisal Co. Board discussed the appraisal memo from Michigan Appraisal Company regarding the U S 31 project at West Conway Road and the highway. Consensus of the board members was to proceed with the appraisals of the properties.
Township Easements for U S 31 Project: Board authorized Clerk to sign easements of the Township properties located at the North and South of the project. Motion by O’Neill supported by Garver and carried in a roll call vote as follows: Dohm aye, O’Neill aye, Garver aye, Allerding aye, Arman aye.
Delinquent Sewer Bills: Motion by Allerding supported by Garver and carried in a roll call vote as follows: Dohm aye, O’Neill aye, Garver aye, Allerding aye, Arman aye, Certification of Delinquent Sewer Bills in 2005 was passed putting them on the winter tax bills.
Other Business: None.
Approve Bills: Motion by Garver supported by Arman and carried board approved payment of the following bills: General Fund $68,882.18: Sewer Fund $19,744.83: Water Fund $9,023.25. Reference to breakdown attached herein.
Being of no further business brought before the board, Supervisor Dohm adjourned the meeting at 1:35 p.m.
