Friendship Township Recreation Committee
Meeting Minutes – July 5, 2005 (draft)

In attendance:
Caroline Kurburski, Wilbur Kurburski, Hugh Melling, Rob Parson, Greg Putalik

Items discussed:
Membership: Greg Putalik attended this meeting and was given a copy of the recreation plan.
Action required: The township board needs to appoint Greg Putalik to the committee if they have not already done so.

Recreation Plan Update: Received data disc fromToMWC.
Action required: Hugh will review disc for content and readability.

Township Property Management:
Remodeling, electrical, floor upgrade to Township Hall: General discussion and look at bathroom and adjacent back room.
Action required: Hugh will measure and draw floorplan for discussion at next meeting.
Chipper Rental: Al Major will rent for $35/hour. Meyer Hardware will rent for $100/day.
Property Maps from GIS: Reviewed maps of 40 and 80 acre parcels and connecting property.
Signage for drinking water access, cemetery water access, trails: General discussion: Identified need for trail head sign and cemetery water access signs.

Regional Recreation Plan meeting: Rob reported that West Traverse and Cross Village not signed up. Reviewed Harbor Inc. area wide recreation map.

Old Business:
1. Hall rental procedures and forms. – no discussion
2. Budget review – no discussion
