Board Meeting
Minutes
11-11-08
Present: Maria Krupa, Gene Reck, Steve Keller, Catherine Schlappi, Howard Wood

Call to order: The regular meeting of the Cross Village board was called to order by Supervisor Wood at 7:00 p.m.

Pledge of Allegiance: The Pledge of Allegiance was said by all present.

Motion: made by Clerk Reck supported by Trustee Schlappi to approve the agenda. Motion carried.

Motion: to approve the October 7, 2008 minutes made by Clerk Reck and supported by Treasurer Krupa.  Motion carried.

Motion: to approve Treasurer’s report made by Clerk Reck and supported by Supervisor Wood.  Motion carried.

Total bills paid October 2008-$ 8,473.95

Announcements/Correspondence: None

 Public comments: Supervisor Wood presented Treasurer Krupa with a plaque with her picture commemorating her 44 years of service to the Township of Cross Village.  The plaque will hang in the meeting room.
Committee Reports:

Old Business
     a. Off Road Vehicles:  The need to consider a local ordinance was discussed.

New Business:
a.   Blissfest: CASE #44K-92 Planning and Zoning Presentation: no   action was taken
b.  Harbor Springs Library Resolution: Resolution 15-08: Resolution to Participate in Planning Towards Establishing the Harbor Springs Area District Library  Motion offered by Clerk Reck and seconded by Trustee Schlappi.  Upon roll call vote, the following voted Aye: G. Reck, M. Krupa, S. Keller, C. Schlappi, H. Wood Motion passed.
c.    Food Pantry:  Discussion of use of the old Town hall as a site.
d.    The Board agreed that G. Reck and R. Keller could attend training in Gaylord on December 1, 2008.

Second Public comments:  None
Motion to adjourn at 7:30 pm the meeting made by Clerk Reck and supported by Treasurer Krupa.  Motion carried.
