Call to Order: Meeting was called to order by Howard Wood, Township Supervisor at 7:00 .pm.
Roll Call: Howard Wood, Supervisor/present
Marie Krupa, Treasurer/ present
Deleta Smith, Clerk, absent (excused)
Stephen Keller, Trustee, present
Catherine Schlappi, Trustee, present
In the absence of the clerk, Treasurer Krupa took the minutes.
Pledge of Allegiance: Supervisor Wood led the pledge of allegiance and read a letter from clerk Smith apologizing for her absence and requesting board approval for Kim Girt to be appointed the Deputy Clerk for Cross Village Township.
Approval of Agenda: The following additions were made to the agenda.
1. A new copy machine for the township office
2. Wall phone
3. Snow shoveling at the community center
Motion: Motion made by Treasurer Krupa to approve the Agenda with the additions. Supported by Trustee Kelller. Motions carries.
Supervisor Wood read a letter from the Emmet Copunty Road Commission stating that an Assessment Management Training would be held December 15,2004 at the Little Traverse Township Hall and expressed his desire to attend. Cost for this is $25.00 per person.
Motion: Motion made by Trustee Schlappi to approve the fee for Supervisor Wood to attend. Supported by Trustee Keller. Motion carries
The Emmet County Road Commission will hold a TEA-21 Task Force meeting on January 4th, 2005. Supervisor Wood may attend this meeting.
Bill Johnson repeated that the Community Services feels there is a need for trash containers in the downtown area. Also to purchase light weight tables since the ones we have are heavy and old.
Motion: Motion made by Treasurer Krupa that the Community Services purchase these items. Supported by Trustee Schlappi. Motion carries
Motion: Motion made by Supervisor Wood to appoint Trustee Keller as a liason to the Recreation Committee. Supported by Trustee Keller. Motion carries

Motion: Motion made by Supervisor Wood to appoint Trustee Schlappi as a Hason to the Master Plan Committee and the Downtown Committee. Supported by Trustee Schlappi. Motion carries
Motion: Motion by Supervisor Wood to to appoint, Bob Parson, Bill Johnson and Al Dicken to the Board of Review for a term of two years. Supported by Treasurer Krupa.Motion carries
Supervisor Wood expressed the need for the purchase of fire proof safe and file cabinets to store and protect the township records. Action tabled until we get some quotes.
The copy machine in the township office needs to be replaced. The board directed Supervisor Wood and Clerk Smith to purchase a new copy machine for the office.
The matter of terminating the wall phone was tabled until we decide if we will get a web site.
Motion: Motion made by Trustee Schlappi to hire Jim Borowski to shovel snow at the Community Center entrance. Supported by Trustee Keller. Motion carries
Supervisor Wood stressed that all matters to come before the board must be received by 7 days prior to the meeting in order to be on the agenda.
Public Comment:
Officers of the Board are underpaid and deserve an increase in the next budget. Also that officers should be paid mileage.
Hard to hear in the meeting room. Acoustics are bad.
Why was so much spent on legal fees?
Should pursue Tat? lot.
Question concerning the accuracy of the November 9th, 2004 minutes regarding certain property and title to it.
Motion: Motion to adjourn the regular meeting of the Cross Village Township Board for December 7th, 2004 by Supervisor Wood. Supported by Trustee Schlappi. Motion carries
