PLEASANTVIEW TOWNSHIP MINUTES Regular Meeting October 26, 2006
Meeting called to order by B. Wiechmann at 7:00 p.m.

Consent Agenda: Minutes: M. Barkley moved to approve the minutes, seconded, Passed Bills: D. Bosma presented Board with bill for $31.71 from Emmet County Treasurer. M. Barkley moved to pay bills, seconded, Passed

Committee Reports: Planning Commission: - B. Wurst reported to the Board that as long as Dome structures meets all building requirements and a yearly inspection is done it should meet all requirements of Pleasantview Township. B. Wurst also reported that there was a discussion held on storm water management and land splits. Discussion also was held on Planning Commission terms.
Zoning Administrator: J. Sommerville turned in 325.00 for permits. He reported to the Board of one new home, one new garage, home and deck addition, a deck addition, two signs have gone up and a utility building being moved.

Unfinished Business: On Hold
New Business: There will be a Zoning Board of Appeals meeting on Friday, November 3, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. regarding a variance request. B. Wiechmann reported to the Board that Jerry Carson resigned as Zoning Board of Appeals Chairman. B. Wiechmann motioned for John Deschermeirer to be appointed as the Zoning Board of Appeals Chairman, seconded, Passed.
D. Bosma reported to the Board that there was an election meeting on 10-25-06. The General Election is on Tuesday, November 7, 2006. The Ballot this year is the longest Ballot in the history of Emmet County.
D. Bosma reported to the Board that Joel Woods of Boyne Highlands turned in two fireworks permits for January 13, 2007 and February 17, 2007. M. Barkley moved to accept the permits, seconded, Passed.
B. Wurst reported to the Board that after conferring with B. Wiechmann the Emmet County Road Commission was aware of the run off problem on Scheirshcmidt Rd and they repaired it. B. Wiechmann looked at the run offs during the last rainstorm and they appear to be repaired. B. Wiechmann will continue to make sure this matter is resolved. The Board requested that the Emmet County Road Commission hold off on any road repairs on part of Hemlock Lane and all of Woodland. B. Wiechmann will look in to this with the Emmet County Road Commission.
