Emmet County Planning Case 19-07 Van Divner moved, Major seconded, PASSED, that the Friendship Township Board suggests that the County Planning Commission wording be revisited as it is too vague and allows potential loophole and the Board supports the Township Planning Commission motion, which reads: The amendment seems to only address changes to shoreline that moves it inland, and not those situations where the shoreline is moving out towards the water. In order to prevent buildings from creeping further out onto filled or exposed areas, we suggest making the set back from the Corp of Engineers high water mark OR from the altered edge, whichever is further inland. Emmet County Planning Case 36-07 Scott moved, Major seconded, PASSED, that the Board concurs with the Township Planning Commission motion which reads as follows: [Request] That ECPC table case 36-07 until FTPC can ascertain that 2201, part 2, items (a) through (d) are complied with by the existing structure, and the FTPC is given a copy of the affidavit (to be) filed with the Register of Deeds stating the (proposed) use of the building (item (e)), to allow FTPC to make an informed decision.
