Regular Meeting February 23, 2009
Meeting called to order by B. Wiechmann at 7:00 p.m.

Minutes: B. Wurst motioned to accept the minutes with the a date change from February 10, 2009 to April 15, 2009 regarding the MTA seminar, L. Bosma seconded
Passed Bills: M. Barkley motioned to pay bills, L. Bosma seconded Passed

Committee Reports:
Planning Commission: B. Wurst reported to the Board: The Commission has not received any feedback in regards to the master plan mailed out to neighboring township. The neighboring Townships have until April 1, 2009 to get back with the Commission. The Commission is tentatively planning a public meeting in July regarding the master plan.
Mary Campbell of M.C. Planning recommends a public meeting regarding the Township’s Zoning Ordinance in regards to any changes needed in the Zoning Ordinance.
The Commission is looking into building on seasonal roads.

Treasurer Report: Received
Assessor: B. Melching informed Board that property assessments were mailed out on February 23, 2009
Unfinished Business: On Hold
New Business: A discussion was held on the roads in the Township. M. Barkley motioned to put Hidden Hamlet out for bid for finishing road reconstruction and Welshimer road for crack sealing D. Bosma seconded Passed
B. Wurst motioned to keep the Allocation money L. Bosma seconded Passed
B. Wurst motioned to put the Allocation money towards finishing road reconstruction in Hidden Hamlet D. Bosma seconded Passed
B. Wiechmann made a request to the Board that the Board of Review would like to attend training sessions in St. Ignace on February 27, 2009.
D. Bosma motioned to send the Board of Review to Board of Review Training on February 27, 2009, M. Barkley seconded, Passed
B. Wiechmann reported to the Board that the Board of Review would be meeting on Tuesday March 3, 2009 at 12:30 p.m. for an organizational meeting. For comments and protests BOR will be meeting on Monday March 9, 2009 at 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. and on Tuesday, March 10, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 – 9:00 p.m.
