PLEASANTVIEW TOWNSHIP MINUTES
Regular Meeting December 15, 2008
Meeting called to order by B. Wiechmann at 7:00 p.m.
Roll Call: B. Wiechmann, D. Bosma, M. Barkley, L. Bosma, B. Wurst,
Absent:
Guest: Jack Sommerville, Zoning Administrator and Nathaniel Ismond
Items Added to Agenda: Election Information, Road Commission Meeting and Allotment

Correspondence/Appointments: B. Wiechmann informed Board there will be an Emmet County Task Force Meeting January 7, 2009 and a Road Commission Meeting for everyone on Monday January 12, 2009 at 7:30 p.m. at the Emmet County Road Commission. In regards to the Allotment, the Board is undecided at this time.
D. Bosma informed Board the State has approved early voting and the Clerk or the Deputy Clerk will have to be available at the Township Hall three days prior to the date of the election for anyone who would like to vote early.
Consent Agenda:
Minutes: L. Bosma motioned to accept the minutes with the correction of Boyne Highland’s fireworks will be in December 2008, January and February 2009, M. Barkley seconded
Passed Bills: M. Barkley motioned to pay bills, B. Wurst seconded Passed
Items Removed from Consent Agenda: None
Committee Reports:
Planning Commission: Board reviewed the master plan. B. Wiechmann moved to send back the master plan to the Planning Commission to allow them to send out the master plan to Emmet County and the surrounding Townships, L. Bosma seconded
Passed Zoning Board of Appeals: L. Bosma informed Board the December 9, 2008 meeting was postponed to Wednesday, December 17, 2008.
Zoning Administrator: J. Sommerville informed Board He will be leaving for the winter on January 5, 2009 and will be returning for the summer on April 30th 2009. J. Sommerville also reported to the Board that there were no permits issued this month.
Treasurer Report: Received
Board of Review: B. Wiechmann reported to the Board of one correction made for the Board of Review.

Unfinished Business: On Hold
New Business: L. Bosma moved to appoint Bill. Wiechmann as Township Representative for the Airport and Fire Authority, M. Barkley seconded, Passed.
B. Wurst to moved to appoint Jay Bosma, John Bosma and Chuck Raisanen to the Board of Review with John Kort as alternate, L. Bosma seconded, Passed.
L. Bosma moved to appoint Dean Shorter and Bob Wurst to Planning Commission, M. Barkley seconded, Passed.
