Regular Meeting July 28, 2008
Meeting called to order by B. Wiechmann at 7:00 p.m.

Correspondence/Appointments: D. Bosma informed Board that J. Tippett would like the dirt for the cemetery delivered soon, Board requested to have J. Tippett call to schedule dirt delivery.
Consent Agenda:
Minutes: L. Bosma motioned to accept the minutes, M. Barkley seconded
Passed Bills: M. Barkley motioned to pay bills, B. Wurst seconded Passed

Committee Reports:
Planning Commission: B. Wurst reported to the Board that the Planning Commission meeting on June 24, 2008 went quite well. Mary Campbell of M.C. Planning reported to the Commission and the residents the results of the survey. A few Township residents showed up and gave their opinions of how they are happy with how the Township is and would prefer slow growth in the area. Others reported to the Commission their future plans for developing their land and how it would benefit the community.
Zoning Administrator: J. Sommerville turned in $75.00. Two permits were issued for a home addition and a deck replacement. Several violation notices were handed out for too much yard waste. J. Sommerville has been talking with a woman from See North. See North will be doing live demonstration at Boyne Highlands.
Treasurer Report: None
Board of Review: The Board made corrections to any tax bills that were turned in to the Board of Review
Assessor:
Unfinished Business: On Hold
New Business: B. Wurst motioned to have the Township Building power washed by J. Tippett for $100.00 and to have Abent pest control come to spray the building for spiders. D. Bosma seconded motion Passed with 4 yes and 1 No.
A discussion was held in regards to the Township’s parking lot and the safety issues.
