Board Meeting
Minutes

Present: Howard Wood, Maria Krupa, Gene Reck, Steve Keller

Call to order: The regular meeting of the Cross Village board was called to order by Supervisor Wood at 7:00 p.m.

Pledge of Allegiance: The Pledge of Allegiance was said by all present.

Motion: made by Trustee Keller supported by Treasurer Krupa to approve the agenda. Motion carried.

Motion: to approve the regular March minutes made by Clerk Reck and supported by Supervisor Wood.  Motion carried.

Motion: to approve the March Budget minutes made by Supervisor Wood and supported by Clerk Reck.  Motion carried.

Motion: to approve Treasurer’s report made by Supervisor Wood and supported by Trustee Keller.  Motion carried.

Total bills paid March 2008-$ 7,691.08

Announcements/Correspondence: The Township received a thank you letter from the Harbor Springs Library Committee and the notice of a price increase from $105 to $115 for trash pick-up.

Public comments: None

Committee Reports: None

Old Business:
a. Cross property:  Supervisor Wood reported on the possibilities for acquiring the property where the cross is.  The property would cost $150K and require some form of mileage to obtain the money to buy it.  A public meeting will be held before anything is done.  Public Meting about this property on Thursday
March 24, 7:00 pm Cross village Community Center.
b. There will be a Budget Workshop on Tuesday, March 8.
New Business:
a. Dust Control:  Motion: Clerk Reck moved and Treasurer Krupa seconded the motion that we apply the same coating for dust control as used last year.  One or two coats will be used as needed.  Motion carried.
b. Library Contract: No action was taken.
c. Assessor’s Contract: Motion: Trustee Keller moved and Clerk Reck seconded the motion that the Assessor’s contract be renewed with a 2% raise and that the assessor’s contract for land splits remain the same as currently. Motion carried.

Motion to adjourn at 7:42 pm the meeting made by Trustee Schlappi and supported by Clerk Reck.  Motion carried.
