PLEASANTVIEW TOWNSHIP MINUTES Regular Meeting June 22, 2006
Meeting called to order by B. Wiechmann at 7:02 p.m.

Correspondence/Appointments: D. Bosma Informed Board of the Summer Zoning Series on 7/12/06 at Holiday Inn in Grayling. B. Wiechmann Presented Board the Emmet County Road Commission Revenue Generation Study for the Township. Alyce Conrad returned Deeds for the unused Lots at the Cemetery on N. Ayr Road.

Zoning Administrator: Turned in $125.00 – Three deck additions/revisions, One accessory building going up and one addition to an existing accessory building,
Assessor: T. Grimm informed Board that the Board of Review meeting will be July 18, 2006 at 1:00 p.m., Tax bills picked up, pictures should be done by Fall, One tribunal coming up, BS&A Computer Update with new operating system, Realtor inquired about a split on a platted lot.
Meetings: D. Bosma reported to the Board that the Handicap equipment for the August election will be arriving for testing and for pick-up.
B. Wiechmann reported to the Board that he and R. Rule attended the Broad Band meeting. He brought back a packet of information for anyone to look at. Broad Band may be coming to Emmet County not sure of when, it will be about $41.95 a month for subscribers.
B. Wurst put up road sign for Berrypatch Lane 4.10 of a mile south of Brutus Rd on N. Ayr Rd.

D. Bosma reported that there was about 56 loads at the Spring-Clean Up, B. Wurst will look in to doing Spring-Clean Up in early May next year.
B. Wiechmann presented Board with Emmet Country Road Commission bid for road improvements. The bids for Crack Sealing and Asphalt Wedge both considerably lower than was estimated.
L. Bosma moved to send $40,000.00 to Emmet County Road Commission for road improvements, seconded, Passed.
B. Wurst reported to the Board that Township would get $5,000.00 from the Forrest Fund for the intersection improvements on Stutsmanville, Tower and Scheirschmidt road.
B. Wurst moved to go ahead with May 3rd proposal of road improvements, seconded, Passed.
B. Wiechmann reported to the Board he met with Dana about parking lot for public parking and the money will come from the snowmobile fund.
B. Wiechmann presented Board with information on a new Board table seating six people with six chairs from Northern Office Supply. L. Bosma moved to purchase new Board table and six chairs seconded, Roll Call Vote, B. Wiechmann Yes, D. Bosma Yes, B. Wurst Yes, L. Bosma Yes, Passed
D. Bosma reported to the Board that the insurance company is requiring we send an application and a copy of the insurance to anyone who is having a fireworks event 60 days prior to the fireworks event. A notice was sent to Boyne Highlands and Nubs Nob letting them know they need to get any information about the fireworks event to us 90 days prior to the event so we can get the information to the insurance company on time.
