PLEASANTVIEW TOWNSHIP MINUTES Regular Meeting September 28, 2006

Correspondence/Appointments: D. Bosma reported to the Board that she received a letter from Little Traverse Disposal confirming Spring Clean up for May 12, 2007. The rate being $68.00 per hour, per truck plus straight dump fees.
Consent Agenda: Minutes: B. Wurst moved to approve the minutes, seconded, Passed Bills: D. Bosma presented Board with a bill from Emmet County Road Commission and from Young, Graham & Elsenheimer, P.C., D. Bosma moved to pay bills, seconded, Passed
Items Removed from Consent Agenda: None
Committee Reports: B. Wiechmann reported to the Board the Fire Association is looking in to the possible ground breaking of a Fire Hall next Spring. The Fire Association submitted a bid for a new Fire Truck. B. Wiechmann and Dick Schiller will be looking at a Fire Truck in Kentucky on Monday, 10/1/06. Planning Commission: - Richard None
Zoning Board of Appeals – September 14, 2006 Meeting – Present: F. Bailey, R. Rule; Absent: L. Bosma & J. Sommerville; Guest: Jerry Carson; B. Wiechmann reported to the board that meeting dates were set for next year.
Zoning Administrator: J. Sommerville turned in $200.00 and reported to the Board he issued four permits and one amended permit this month for three new homes, a new garage and an addition to a house and there are three open violations. A permit and a $50.00 fee was also submitted for fireworks. M. Barkley moved to approve the fireworks permit, seconded, Passed.

New Business: B. Wiechmann reported to the Board that F. Bailey is resigning as Chairman of the Zoning Board of Appeals and Jerry Carson of Harbor Springs is interested in Chairing the Zoning Board of Appeals. B. Wiechmann nominated J. Carson to be the Zoning Board of Appeals Chairman, L. Bosma moved the motion for J. Carson to be Zoning Board of Appeals Chairman, Seconded, Passed.
B. Wurst reported to the Board that he looked at the curb on Scheirschmidt Rd and the rain water is not going down the run offs as it should be and there is standing water six to eight inches deep when it rains. B. Wiechmann will check in to this with the Emmet County Road Commission.
