LITTLE TRAVERSE TOWNSHIP EMMET COUNTY, MICH REGULAR MEETING MINUTES, JANUARY 13, 2007 Regular Meeting was called to order by Supervisor Dohm at 1:00 p.m.
Roll Call: Board Members present, Allerding, Arman, Dohm, Garver, O’Neill. Also present Student Council Class from Petoskey High School, names attached herein.
Correspondence: Minutes of Township Zoning Board of January 8, 2007: Minutes of HSASDA of December 14, 2006: Minutes of Emmet Co. DPW of November 9, and December 14 and 29, 2006. Also 3rd Qtr. Report: Letter from Emeet County Road Commission regarding joint meetings & Notice of Special Meeting scheduled for January 23, 2007 with Emmet County Road Commission: Letter regarding ORV’s from Dick Taylor.
Approve Minutes: Motion by Garver supported by O’Neill and carried board approved Regular Meeting Minutes of December 9, 2006 and Special Meeting Minutes of December 19, 2006 as presented.
Public Comment: None.
Blight Complaint #20: Supervisor Dohm reported that the blight has been removed. The blight being removed motion by Garver supported by O’Neill and carried the complaint was dismissed.
Bear Creek/HSASDA Committee Member: Supervisor Dohm reported to the board regarding the treatment options for Bear Creek and the Harbor Springs Sewage Area Sewage Authority. A committee was being formed to discuss those options. Upon discussion motion by O’Neill supported by Allerding and carried board members appointed Supervisor Dohm to be on the Committee representing Little Traverse Township.
Harbor Springs Area Fire Hall: Board discussed the Harbor Springs Area Fire Hall substation to be located at the Township Hall. Site Plan has been approved. Lease Agreement is in place and needs to be signed, this will allow the Fire Authority to move forward with the construction to be started as early as Spring of 2007. Motion by O’Neill supported by Garver and carried in a roll call vote as follows: Dohm aye, O’Neill aye, Garver aye, Allerding aye, Arman aye, board authorized Supervisor Dohm to sign the agreement on behalf of Little Traverse Township.
Electric Service: Board members discussed having the electrical service changed to the mechanical room. Proposal from Solutions Electric attached herein. Upon discussion motion by Garver supported by Allerding and carried electrical service will be moved and proposal from Solutions Electric was accepted.
2007 Road Allocation. Board members discussed the Emmet County Road Commissions 2007 road allocation summary (attached herein).Supervisor Dohm noted that it would be in the best interest of the Township to forego the allocation for the year. Special Meeting with the Emmet County Road Commission will be held January 23, 2007. Motion by Garver supported by O’Neill and carried the Township will forego the road allocation for 1 year.
Approve Bills: Upon review of the bills motion by Allerding supported by Garver and carried , board approved payment of the following bills: General Fund$20,934.73: Sewer Fund $39,349.22: Water Fund $6,906.48. Reference to breakdown attached herein.
No other business was brought before the board.
Being of no further business brought before the board Supervisor Dohm adjourned the Meeting at 1:40 p.m.
