Regular Meeting March 25, 2008
Meeting called to order by B. Wiechmann at 7:00 p.m.

Zoning Administrator: B. Wiechmann turned in $1220.00 three permits and two fines. Permits were issued for accessory buildings and two $500.00 fines were issued to Boyne Highlands for starting construction without getting permits.

A discussion was held regarding Chestnut Valley and the personal property taxes that are past due. M. Barkley has contacted the Township’s attorney and the attorney said to accept payment of the taxes without the interest and penalties. M. Barkley has also contacted MTA regarding this matter and they said that the Township cannot waive interest and penalties. The Board discussed turning this matter over to the Township attorney and MTA.
B. Wiechmann turned in information from Hughes Net High Speed Internet. Hughes Net would cost $299.00 after $100.00 rebate for equipment and installation and $69.99 for monthly service. L. Bosma motioned to purchase Hughes Net High Speed Internet with roll call vote. M. Barkley Yes, D. Bosma Yes, B. Wurst Yes, L. Bosma Yes and B. Wiechmann Yes. M. Barkley seconded, motion Passed.
A discussion was held on purchasing a new voting booth. The Board decided to explore other options.
The Board accepted Resolutions by roll call votes to establish Township Officers Salaries for the fiscal year of July 1, 2008 – June 30, 2009:
Treasurer: L. Bosma moved that the Treasurer would receive $9,660.00 for the fiscal year of July 1, 2008-June 30, 2009, B. Wiechmann seconded, Roll Call Vote: B. Wiechmann Yes, L. Bosma Yes, B. Wurst Yes, D. Bosma Yes, M. Barkley Yes, motion Passed.
B. Wiechmann moved that the Clerk would receive $9,660.00 for the fiscal year of July 1, 2008 – June 30, 2009, M. Barkley seconded, Roll Call Vote: L. Bosma Yes, B. Wurst Yes, D. Bosma Yes, B. Wiechmann Yes, and M. Barkley Yes, motion Passed.
M. Barkley moved that the Trustee (L. Bosma) would receive $2,820.00 for the fiscal year of July 1, 2008-June 30, 2009, B. Wurst seconded, Roll Call Vote: M. Barkley Yes, B. Wurst Yes, L. Bosma Yes, D. Bosma Yes, and B. Wiechmann Yes, motion Passed.
L. Bosma moved that the Trustee (B. Wurst) would receive $2820.00 for the fiscal year of July 1, 2008-June 30, 2009, M. Barkley seconded, Roll Call Vote: B. Wurst Yes, B. Wiechmann Yes, L. Bosma Yes, D. Bosma Yes, and M. Barkley Yes, motion Passed.
M. Barkley moved that the Supervisor would receive $10,200.00 for the fiscal year of July 1, 2008-June 30, 2009, L. Bosma seconded,

Passed.
