Regular Meeting February 26, 2008
Meeting called to order by B. Wiechmann at 7:00 p.m.

Correspondence/Appointments:
Discussion was held regarding Chestnut Valley’s personal properties and the penalties and interests. Further investigation will be done.
B. Wiechmann presented Board with estimates from the Emmet County Road Commission for road repairs. B. Wiechmann will contact the Emmet County Road Commission and ask them to get different bids for the work and get back with the Township with the different bids.

Planning Commission:
Zoning Administrator: B. Wiechmann reported to the Board that there was no permits issued this month. B. Wiechmann is looking into whether or not Boyne Highlands got a permit for some construction that is being done. He will report back to the Board with his findings.
Treasurer Report: Received
Assessor: T. Grimm reported to the Board that the Assessment Rolls are done and the Board of Review will be meeting on Monday, March 10, 2008 from 9a.m.-12 Noon and 1p.m.-4p.m. and Tuesday, March 11, 2008 from 2p.m.-5p.m. and 6p.m.-9p.m.
Planning Commission: B. Wurst reported to the Board that Mary Campbell of M.C. Planning attended their meeting on January 24, 2008. Timelines were set for the master plan and she will be sending out a Township survey. New meeting dates were set (see-attached schedule) and Planning Commission Officers were elected.

M. Barkley motioned to accept the Policy and Guidelines for Economic Hardship 2-2008 with roll call vote, M. Barkley Yes, B. Wurst Yes, B. Wiechmann Yes, D. Bosma Yes, and L Bosma Yes, L. Bosma seconded, Passed.
B. Wurst motioned to accept Little Traverse Disposal for the Spring Clean Up on May 10, 2008 B. Wiechmann seconded, Passed.
D. Bosma motioned with roll call vote to give the Clerk and Treasurer authority to pay all utility bills and any scheduled mortgage payments before the regular scheduled meeting date, B. Wurst Yes, D. Bosma Yes, B. Wiechmann Yes, M. Barkley Yes, and L. Bosma Yes, M. Barkley seconded, Passed
