Zoning Administrator: B. Wiechmann turned in $20.00 for a permit. A permit was issued for an accessory building.

Meetings: B. Wiechmann reported the fire runs are down.
B. Wiechmann and B. Wurst attended 911 meeting.
MTA is once again concerned with the Bill HB 4780 (a countywide form of government; getting rid of townships.)
County Road Commission would like a countywide road tax. Some Townships are against it.

New Business: D. Bosma moved to purchase Excel program for R. Rule’s computer only, seconded, Passed.
The accountant recommended that Township purchase Quicken 2008 Pro. M. Barkley motioned to purchase Quicken 2008 Pro, seconded Passed.
B. Wiechmann received a request for a Resolution of Support to allow the Emmet County Planning and Zoning staff to work with the Emmet County Road Commission to investigate a Tourist Oriented Directional Sign program within Emmet County. L. Bosma moved to support the Resolution in Support, seconded by D. Bosma, by roll call vote, D. Bosma Yes, B. Wiechmann Yes, L. Bosma Yes, B. Wurst Yes, M. Barkley Yes, Passed.
D. Bosma reported on the Presidential Primary Election and informed Board of new election dates, School Election, May 6, 2008, General Primary August 5, 2008 and the General Election November 4, 2008.
Board held a discussion in regards to the Emmet County Road Commission meeting on 1/21/2008.
