FRIENDSHIP TOWNSHIP
BOARD MEETING
WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 7,2005 @ 7:00 PM
@ Friendship Township Hall


Meeting called to order by Supervisor at 7:00 p.m. Board members Major, Troup, Scott, Van Divner and Ward present.
Agenda approved.
Minutes stood approved as presented.
Treasurer’s report received.

Ben Warner and Marty MacGregor made presentation on behalf of First Responders, RFC Firefighters. They are in need of more volunteers to become first responders. There is a “Meet and Greet” at the fire hall on September 20th @ 7pm for anyone who may be interested. Class begins October 11th.

Scott moved, Van Divner seconded, FAILED, that because serious allegations have been made by a member of the Middle Village Park Management Committee (MVPMC) concerning the actions of that committee and concerning comments made by another member of that committee, further discussions by Friendship Township board be tabled until such time as Friendship Township has received counsel from Friendship Township attorney, and, while these allegations are outstanding, Friendship Township will withhold its representation on the MVPMC and requests that the committee not convene a meeting or conduct any business other than normal maintenance tasks. (2-3)

Ward moved, Major seconded, PASSED, to direct the supervisor to meet with LTBB Chairman Frank Ettawageshik, Readmond Supervisor Diana Call and a member of Greater Good Hart Association to discuss problems with the tribe’s lack of attendance at Middle Village Park (MVP) committee meetings, the tribe’s continual lack of response regarding approving MVP budgets, and the tribe’s failure to pay their portion of the budget expenses over the past three years, and that the MVP Management Committee be continued as currently configured. (4-1)

Scott moved , Ward seconded, PASSED, to pay bills. Checks # 5072-5085 in the amount of
$4,463.32 were written.

Meeting adjourned at 9:10 pm.
