LITTLE TRAVERSE TOWNSHIP Emmet County, Michigan
REGULAR MEETING MINUTES, JULY 20, 2005
Regular Meeting was called to order by Supervisor Dohm at 7:00 p.m.
Roll Call: Board members present: Allerding, Arman, Dohm, Garver, O’Neill. Also present several visitors (see attached list).
Distribution of Correspondence: Minutes of Township Zoning Board of July 11, 2005: Minutes of HSASDA of June 9, 2005: Minutes of Emmet County DPW of June 14, 2005 and Quarterly Curbside Recycle Report: Minutes of Emmet County Road Commission of June 20, and July 1, 2005: Noise Complaint #8 and corresponding follow up: Noise Complaint #9 and corresponding follow up: 2nd Quarter water system flow report.
Supervisor reviewed correspondence with board members.
Approve Minutes: Motion by Allerding supported by Garver and carried, Regular Meeting Minutes of June 15, 2005 was approved as presented by the Clerk.
Public Comment: None.
Blight #16: Report from Supervisor Dohm on complaint #16. Civil Infraction has not been set yet. Legal Council George Spanos reported on complaint also. No other action taken on the matter.
Harbor Park, Inc., vs. Little Traverse Township: George Spanos gave report on the lawsuit. He informed the board that a conference has not been set yet, until this is completed no other action is taken on the matter.
Blight Complaint #17: Report and recommendation from Supervisor Dohm was made. Blight has been satisfied and case should be closed. Motion by Allerding supported by O’Neill and carried, complaint has been dismissed.
Work in Progress: Supervisor reported that Powell Road is complete. Kipp Road is also completed. Reported that well at boat launch is plugged and needs to be pumped out. Supervisor met with Mary Guisinger regarding easements on the highway, no action taken on the matter. Supervisor reported on the meeting with the Emmet County Road Commission on the 5 year Road Improvement plan, this was a discussion with them only.
Woodloft Trail Road Improvements: 2 bids received on the road improvement. Payne & Dolan, Inc., received the bid as being the lowest bidder. Motion by Allerding supported by Garver, discussion on the motion, a resident of Woodloft asked it the turnaround could be widen to accommodate large waste removal trucks, board discussed the matter. Supervisor will ask for a change order to widen the cul-de-sac, and authorize the bid not to exceed 15,000.00, upon discussion motion passed.
Petoskey Library: Request was made from the Library for Township participation at the Library meetings. Supervisor discussed the matter. It was recommended that someone be appointed to attend the meetings to represent the Township to further discuss the future of the library services and also the funding. No other action was taken.
No other business was brought before the Board.
Approve Bills: Motion by Allerding supported by Garver and carried board approved the payment of the following bills: General Fund $41,980.39: Sewer Fund $19.730.17: Water Fund $7,911.47.Reference to breakdown attached herein.
Being of no further business brought before the board, Supervisor adjourned the meeting at 7:35 p.m.
