Minutes - Friendship Township Recreation Committee Meeting

May 31, 2005 7 PM Township Hall


Present: Caroline Kurburski, Wilbur Kurburski, Dale Scott
Absent: Hugh Melling, Rob Parson

1. No report concerning mapping or contact with arborist.

2. Scott reported on one flooring estimate for wood floor from William Morse. Also reported that Mark Buday has agreed to do drawings for proposed remodeling of hall and electrical upgrades. He will not be able to do this until September 2005. Suggested that in mean time we brainstorm in writing as to what it is that we would like to see done and make some conceptual drawings. He would then like to meet with the committee and/or the board to talk over ideas before working on plans.

3. Wilbur will continue to pursue chipper use.

4. Caroline spoke with Tip of the Mitt about getting electronic copies of data used in production of 2001 Recreation Plan. They will send to Scott. Scott will follow up in 2 weeks.

5. Discussed the regional recreation plan creation program that was approved by township board at their 5/11/5 meeting.

6. Scott handed out copies of possible hall usage applications and use policies for member committee member review. Will continue discussion next meeting.

Next meeting will be Tuesday, July 5, 2005, 7 pm, at the Township Hall.
