Board Meeting
Minutes
9-9-08
Present: Maria Krupa, Gene Reck, Steve Keller, Catherine Schlappi

Call to order: The regular meeting of the Cross Village board was called to order by Clerk Reck at 7:00 p.m.

Pledge of Allegiance: The Pledge of Allegiance was said by all present.

Motion: made by Clerk Reck supported by Treasurer Krupa to approve the agenda. Motion carried.

Motion: to approve the August 12, 2008 minutes made by Trustee Keller and supported by Trustee Schlappi.  Motion carried.

Motion: to approve Treasurer’s report made by Trustee Keller and supported by Clerk Reck.  Motion carried.

Total bills paid August 2008-$ 13,239.72

Announcements/Correspondence: Centurytel letter signed and returned.

 Public comments: None

Committee Reports:
a. Heritage Highway:  The committee report was received and discussed.  It will remain on the agenda for further discussion.
Old Buisness
a. Park/Port: A crude diagram of the port area was presented by Clerk Reck.  The proposal was discussed and will be resolved before the Spring
b.  Old Townhall:  A letter from the Petoskey Historical society was read.  They are no longer interested in maintaining their presence in Cross Village.  The Township will proceed with the process for lease termination
New Business:
a.  Resolution 13-08:  Support for WiFi proposal by Harbor, Inc. Motion offered by Trustee Keller and seconded by Trustee Schlappi
Upon roll call vote, the following voted Aye: G. Reck, M. Krupa, S. Keller, C. Schlappi. Motion passed.
b.  Resolution 14-08:  Purchase of Cross property. Motion by Trustee Schlappi. Seconded by Clerk Reck.
Upon roll call vote, the following member(s) voted Aye: G. Reck, M. Krupa, S. Keller, C. Schlappi.  Motion Passed.



Second Public comments:  Public comment about the need to have the park ready by the spring.  Also the need to check on the actual laws that might pertain to the operation.
Motion to adjourn at 7:43 pm the meeting made by Trustee Schlappi and supported by Treasurer Krupa.  Motion carried.
