REGULAR MEETING MINUTES

JANUARY 8, 2005







Regular Meeting was called to order by Supervisor Dohm at 1:00 p.m.



Roll Call: Board members present Allerding, Arman, Dohm, Garver, and O’Neill. Also present were Jane Taylor and several guests including students from Petoskey High School Government Class.



Distribution of Correspondence: Minutes of Emmet County Road Commission of December 3 and 17, 2004: Minutes of H.S. Area Fire Authority of October 28, 2004: Minutes of Emmet County DPW of November 16, 2004 and 2005 Transfer Station Schedule: Thank you letter from Little Traverse Conservancy: Minutes of H.S.A.S.D.A. of December 9, 2004: Water Flow Charts for Calendar Year 2004.



It was noted that there would be a Special Meeting with the Township and the Emmet Co. Road Commission to discuss roads sometime in January.



Approve Minutes: Motion by Allerding, supported by O’Neill and carried Regular Meeting Minutes of December 11, 2004 were approved as presented.



Public Comment: None.



Blight Complaint #16: Supervisor reported on Blight Complaint #16. Notice to remove blight were sent certified mail and returned. No other action taken on the matter at this time.



Emmet Heights Well Generator: Supervisor reported that the well generator was installed and complete but not tested as yet.



Powell Road Reconstruction: Board received a cost estimate on the reconstruction of Powell Road. The project would be a cost share with Bear Creek Township. It was discussed to borrow against the Road Allocation monies which would be collected in December of 2005. Consensus of the board members is to proceed with the project in the spring and to seek bids on the project. Motion by Garver supported by O’Neill and carried.



Other Business: No other business was brought before the board.



Bills: Motion by Allerding supported by Garver and carried board approved the following bills: General Fund $18,052.22: Sewer Fund $20,157.27: Water Fund $3,645.46. Reference to breakdown attached herein.



Being no further business brought before the board, Supervisor Dohm adjourned the meeting at 1:15 p.m.
