HARBOR, Inc. initiated a feasibility study for a trail connection in the vicinity of Harbor Springs Public Schools and connecting with Hoyt and Quick Roads.  That study was completed in early 2008 and can be viewed in its entirety.

On June 4, the HARBOR Inc. executive committee along with city and township officials and consultant Emily Meyerson  walked the Hoyt Road stretch between Lake Street and Quick Road (see photos to the right and below) to look at possible problems and solutions. With Hoyt Road slated for improvement in the next few years, tying in a path to the upgrades might be one possibility. Another possible solution would be to cut over from Hoyt and maneuver through the Kiwanis Park trails.  Safety concerns both with traffic on Hoyt and in the woods of the Kiwanis trails are being discussed.
