EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES
Harbor Springs City Hall
12:00 PM – Wednesday, September 16, 2009

1) Welcome
Present : Kathie Breighner, Al Dika, Mary Ellen Hughes, Charlie MacInnis, Preston McGregor, Danna Widmar    
Absent : Jeanne Benjamin, Dan Branson, Tom Gallagher,  Michael Esposito, Rob Mossburg, Denise Simon

2) Call to order - Charlie MacInnis at 12:08PM.

3) Approval of old minutes:
 a. Executive Committee – August 19, 2009. Motion made to accept minutes with one correction to the time (“AM” rather than “PM”) by Al Dika. Mary Ellen Hughes seconded. Motion carried.

4) Financials / Fundraising
a. August 2009 Financials – reviewed by Widmar with notes from Esposito
b. Ford Park Fund Application – application is still waiting RFP from State Department of Energy.

5) New Business
a. Board of Director’s Meeting Agenda, 8AM Wed., 9/30/09 at Readmond Twp Hall
i. Officers and Executive Committee Approval
ii. Friends Enhancing Emmet Transportation (FEET) – discussed motion for Board support of FEET.
b. 2009-2010 Meeting Schedule – Widmar will distribute shortly. Annual meeting dates, time and venue discussed.
c. PHSACF Grant Application for LTW Signs – Widmar is working on a grant for signage along the Little Traverse Wheelway on behalf of the Trails Council.
d. Day of Caring “Alternate” Date and Preparation – several ideas proposed including planting/improving Reynolds Field in the vicinity of the sign and trail.
e. Halloween Ride – Widmar proposed a trail ride on Halloween afternoon (Saturday) in costume as an inaugural ride.

6) Old Business & Reports
a. M-119 Trail Ground Breaking Ceremony – 9/23/09 at 11:30AM at Reynolds Field. Invitations are being sent, light refreshments to follow.
b. Strategic Planning, no additional discussion occurred on this.
