EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEETING

WEDNESDAY, October 10, 2007; 12:00 P.M.

 Welcome/Attendance

The meeting was called to order by Denise Simon at 12:10 pm.  Executive Director Danna Widmar and Assistant Preston McGregor were also present.

Minutes

The Executive Committee minutes of August 29, 2007 were presented. Kathie Breighner moved to accept. Mary Ellen Hughes seconded the motion. Motion Carried.

Financials

August 2007 and September 2007 financials were presented and reviewed. Al Dika made motion to accept as presented. Denise Simon seconded the motion. Motion Carried.

Widmar Report

·         The Fall fundraising letter is targeted to be in mail the last week in October. This letter will be from Danna Widmar.

·         Safe Routes to School – 10/9/07 has been officially signed by all school principals. HARBOR, Inc will do the ‘action plan’ which is required before applying to government for funds. Carolyn Sandford has offered to chair.

Current Business/Reports

·         High Speed Internet Committee – Richard Rule will be chairman, Gene Reck vice-chair. The structure, list of responsibilities, purpose and timeframe has all been defined.  Mary Ellen Hughes made a motion to accept the High Speed Internet Committee Terms of Reference.  Kathie Breighner seconded the motion.  Motion Carried.

·         By-Laws Amendment – Widmar indicated that a By-laws amendment would be prepared and presented to the Board in December to accurately reflect the Board composition to include two County Commissioner positions.

·         HARBOR Inc. Executive Committee – Michael Esposito will work up on descriptions for Executive Committee roles and responsibilities.  

Meeting Schedule/Adjournment:

The Executive Committee next scheduled meeting will be Wednesday, November 7, 2007 at noon at Walstrom Marine.The meeting was adjourned at 1:15PM
