EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEETING
Wednesday, February 22, 2006; 12:00 P.M.

Welcome/Attendance

Present: Branson, Breighner, Dika, Erber, Esposito, Gallagher, Hughes, Simon
Absent: None
The meeting was called to order by Tom Gallagher at 12:10 pm. Executive Director Danna Widmar and Assistant Preston McGregor were present.

Minutes
Dika made a motion to approve the minutes from the January 11 and February 1, 2006. Hughes seconded the motion. Motion Carried.

Financials
2005 Year End financials were discussed by Widmar. Approval of year end financials will occur at the March 1st Board of Director’s meeting.

Executive Director’s Report
The gathering of local officials has been moved to 5:30PM, March 21, 2006 at the high school cafeteria. Widmar intends to also have county commissioners at this gathering to discuss public recreation, public open space and private open-space work efforts. Hughes will coordinate food for the event with the schools.

The recreation meeting on 2/1/06 went well and was attended by over 50 people with interests in organized recreation.

A letter will be going out shortly to thank all 2005 donors. In addition, a letter will be written to downtown business owners announcing bike trail grant and requesting support.

Widmar reported that recreation decisions including a written plan are expected to be completed in 2006. Implementation of plan is expected in 2007 and beyond.

Upcoming focus after recreation and open space are housing and transportation. Widmar suggested that grant information and possibilities should be explored now in order to apply for grants for 2007.

The meeting adjourned at 1:30 p.m. The next meeting will be March 15th at noon.
