EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEETING
FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 13, 2005; 12:00 P.M.

Welcome/Attendance


The meeting was called to order by Tom Gallagher at 12:09PM. Executive Director Danna Widmar and assistant Preston McGregor were present.

Financials
Erber reviewed financials for August 2005. McGregor noted that contributions are starting to come in from fundraising letter which arrived in mailboxes the week of 9/6/05. Breighner made a motion to approve. Simon seconded the motion. Motion Carried

Executive Director’s Report
Widmar reported on the finance committee meeting which resolved to get the 2005 annual report out to 40 largest property owners and all business owners. Widmar also reported on grant applications including Kellogg, Mott, Petoskey-Harbor Community Foundation, DEQ, and revenue sharing. Gallagher suggested looking into Wal-Mart Corporation funds. An officials gathering has not been scheduled but it was suggested that it be held at the newly completed Harbor Springs High School.

Newsletter
Gallagher suggested that fall newsletter focus on what we’re doing with small notes on what others are doing and include info on easements for bike path from Pleasantview to H.S. and notes about what we hope to do in the near future. Widmar indicated we would likely have a lot of Recreation data to include once LIAA finishes with their background work.

Fundraising
Widmar will contact local merchants (Chamber, Nubs Nob, Outfitter, etc) to place our recreation map which we will have laminated.

Website
In address to regular updates, it was suggested that information about the success of Dale Scott’s windmill tour be posted.

The meeting was adjourned at 1:15PM.
