EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEETING
WEDNESDAY, August 9, 2006; 12:00 P.M.
City of Harbor Springs City Council Chambers

Welcome/Attendance

Present: Breighner, Dika, Esposito, Gallagher, Hughes, Simon
Absent: Branson, Erber

The meeting was called to order by Tom Gallagher at 12:15 pm. Executive Director Danna Widmar and Assistant Preston McGregor were present.

Minutes
Simon made a motion to approve the minutes from July 19, 2006. Dika seconded the motion. Motion Carried.

Financials
Widmar reported that June 2006 financials have been reviewed by Donna Weber. No financials were presented for approval.

Business
A slate of 8 nominations for board positions will be presented for election at annual meeting tonight.
Widmar reported that she expects the fundraising letter will be sent in September. The mailing will be broken into resort areas and the remainder of HARBOR, Inc. area.
Kiwanis Club has been especially helpful in securing additional easements for M-119 trail. Additional funds will be needed for enhancements (fence replacement, driveways, etc) on these new easements.
Widmar reported that the recreation plan is in the process of being written by Carl Ferguson of LIAA. The goal is to have specific and joint proposals for each jurisdiction by September 2006.
Several EC members asked that there be additional press releases on bike path progress.

The next executive committee meeting will be August 30, 2006.
