EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEETING

Welcome/Attendance

The meeting was not formally called to order for lack of a quorum. Executive Director Danna Widmar was present.

2005 Budget

Gallagher presented his best estimate calculations on the 2005 Budget. The numbers were generally consistent with experience from 2004 and include part-time help. Gallagher indicated he would put all the information into a spreadsheet for the Executive Committee to review on their own prior to the December 1st Board of Director’s meeting. Comments should be forwarded to Widmar.

Recreation and Open Space

Widmar indicated that she had done quite a lot of research over the last couple of months and had additional recommendations for the approach on the Recreation and Open Space Program. She indicated that a grant writing program for purchase and or development of parcels in the area would be a desirable element of the program. This would allow some limited implementation to be accomplished during the process of making longer term planning decisions. Widmar also indicated that she had extensive discussions with various people about the previous proposal to pursue the Nolan property in Readmond Township for recreation purposes. She indicated that it was concept worth exploring more with Readmond and the County. Everyone agreed it was worth additional consideration and that Widmar should continue with her discussions.

The meeting adjourned at 1:00 p.m. The next meeting will be November 7th at noon.
