EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEETING
TUESDAY, OCTOBER 26, 2004; 12:00 P.M.

Welcome/Attendance

Gallagher called the meeting to order at 12:10 p.m. Executive Director Danna Widmar was present.

Minutes

Breighner made a motion, with a second by Branson, to approve the minutes from the October 5, 2004 meeting. Motion Carried.

Financials

Financials were not available for review.

Fundraising

Widmar indicated that thank you letters had gone out. She also indicated that the letter to past contributors who had not yet contributed in 2004 was also sent. The list of past contributors was quite long. Widmar indicated the temporary help was very useful in this effort. Temporary help would be used to update the mailing list with all property owner changes from the last year.

2005 Budget

The 2005 Budget was discussed by all. Gallagher indicated that he made a calculation for part time help. He estimated that it will require approximately $9,000 for part time help of 12 hours per week. Widmar indicated that she would like to see enough in the budget for three to four newsletters. Gallagher indicated it was the intent to get the budget approved at the December 1, 2004 Board of Directors meeting. Since we do not have various grants secured, it might be a projected budget with an amended budget approved at a later date.

Strategic Plan

The strategic plan will need to be evaluated by the Executive Committee to be approved by the Board of Directors, probably at the March Board of Directors meeting. Branson indicated that he wrote a brief summary on his perspective of a transportation initiative that he thinks should be added to the strategic plan.

Board Resignation

Widmar indicated that she received a note from Jennifer Zulski asking to be removed from the Board mailings. Breighner made a motion to accept the resignation from Jennifer Zulski, Dika seconded the motion. Motion Carried.

The meeting adjourned at 1:10 p.m. The next meeting will be November 16th at noon.
