EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEETING
FRIDAY MAY 17, 2005; 12:00 P.M.

Welcome/Attendance

The meeting was called to order by Tom Gallagher at 12:00PM. Executive Director Danna Widmar and assistant Preston McGregor were present.

Minutes:

Dika made a motion to approve the minutes for April 22, 2005. Erber seconded the motion. Motion Carried.

Financials

Erber reviewed revised financials for March 2005 and financials for April 2005. Widmar noted two errors were found in March and needed to be corrected before approval.

Executive Director’s Report

Widmar reported that she was considering two options for an Officials Gathering: Shepler’s Ferry and something with Kiwanis. The Shepler’s cost was discussed and appears to be too great at this time (Shepler’s offered a discount, but even base costs are significantly greater than previous gatherings). Widmar will have discussions with Kiwanis. Widmar reported that she does not have information yet on the office lease.

Committee Reports

Recreation: Widmar and Gallagher reported on the status of the Recreation and Open Space project. The contract is in a form that is satisfactory to the communities that previously had some issues with language. Gallagher suggested that the contract go to the Board of Directors for approval since HARBOR, Inc. is a signing party to the contract and responsible for the matching funds. The project was discussed in great length. Website: Esposito reported significant increase in use of the website. Widmar reported that LIAA gave an example of how to set up a survey however it is not terribly user friendly at this time. Widmar reported that she would set one up next week for testing.
