EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEETING
WEDNESDAY, August 30, 2006; 12:00 P.M.
City of Harbor Springs City Council Chambers

Welcome/Attendance

Present:Branson, Breighner, Esposito, Gallagher, Hughes, Simon
Absent: Dika, Erber

The meeting was called to order by Tom Gallagher at 12:05 pm. Executive Director Danna Widmar and Assistant Preston McGregor were present.

Minutes
Simon made a motion to approve the minutes from August 9, 2006. Breighner seconded the motion. Motion Carried.

Financials
June and July 2006 financials were presented for approval. Hughes made a motion to accept the financials as presented. Simon seconded the motion. Motion Carried.

Business

Vice-chairman appointment, open executive committee position and board of directors opening were reviewed.
A slate of executive committee officers was presented for the upcoming term. These included Denise Simon – Chairman; Kathryn Breighner – Secretary; Michael Esposito – Treasurer. Breighner made a motion to approve the slate of officers. Hughes seconded the motion. Motion Carried.

Widmar reported that the fundraising letter is at the printer and should reach the public by mid-September.
Discussion was held on the status of the recreation plan. The executive committee requested that they receive a written report on the progress the committee has made. This update will then be placed on the agenda for the next board of directors meeting.

Widmar will create a process that documents submitting, reviewing and approving future ideas and requests that HARBOR, Inc. is asked to pursue.

The next executive committee meeting will be September 20, 2006.
