Elections

Elections
Voting is one of the most cherished and fundamental rights in our Country. Please register to vote, it is easy!

You can register at a Secretary of State office, at Township’s Clerk’s office or County Clerk’s office. You can also register by mail. Just go to www.michigan.gov/sos for the form and rules for registering by mail. If you receive a letter requesting your signature please take the time to stop in to sign your voter registration care we have on file. We do need your signature on that card so you can vote.

If you are unable to attend the election polls on Election Day you can request an absentee voter ballot by filling out an application. You can get an application at your local Township Clerk’s office, County Clerk’s office or online at the following link www.michigan.gov/sos. Your application must be received by your Clerk no later than 2:00 p.m. the Saturday before the election. Please do not wait until the last minute to request an absentee voter ballot application. Requesting an absentee voter ballot application in a timely manner will make the process smoother for everyone involved. After you have received your absentee ballot you have until 8:00 p.m. on Election Day to complete the ballot and return it to the Clerk’s office.

To get dates and information for upcoming elections you can contact your local Secretary of State office, County Clerk’s office or Township Clerk’s office.

If anyone is interested in being an election worker please contact Debbie Bosma or Tina Glazier at the Township.
