Pre-Season

The pre-season for the 2009/2010 season is underway with the competitive season beginning the week of September 28.  If you are interested in taking part in the pre-season please stop by the pool on either Thursday, September 17, Tuesday, September 22, or Thursday September 24th. 

The season is rappidly approaching and we already have deadlines to meet.  USS swimmers, we need your entries by October 13th.  The meet packet as been posted so check out the events that are offered and let the coaches know if you are planning on attending. 

2009-2010 Season

The competitive season got underway on Saturday, October 10th.  In what was supposed to be the Hammerhead Relays turned into a Pentathlon time trial for the Hammerheads.  There were some solid performances by our veterans and some very impressive swims by some of our new swimmers.  This gives us an idea as to what we need to work on in preparation for the MTSL State meet in March.  It may seem like a long time but it will be here before we know it!  The results will be posted as soon as our Meet Mangaer technicians extract the results from our Colorado Timing System.

Oscoda Invitational

Depsite a valiant effort by the FLU to keep us down, the Hammerhead Swim Club came away victorious at the Oscoda Invitational on October 24th.  The Hammerheads outscored 2nd place Ogemaw, 1048 to 937.  Oscoda was third with 779 followed by Gaylord with 597, Alpena with 437, Mt. Pleasant with 352 and Caro with 227.  Again there were some outstanding swims with several major drop in times from the 08-09 season.  Keep up the good work and stay healthy.  The next meet is going to be in Traverse City on November 8th.
